      August 10, 2012 at 4:57 pm

With only 150 MB available as internal storage, its expected to run out of memory. You can download ‘apps 2 sd’ from play store to help you move downladed apps to the sd card. works perfect.

alcatel OT 918 and ideos y100 both look great and have great features. Jst wondering which one is better than the other?

    • mehboobah
      August 10, 2012 at 5:03 pm

The Y100 has an enhanced Qualcomm chipset, so in essence is more powerful performance wise. The OT 918 looks better. Its a question of which one you like better.

There are many apps that could provide the same solution. Another option would be to root the device.

Which is Better alcatel. Or idios ?

    • mehboobah
      September 9, 2012 at 12:17 pm

The two devices are similar on many fronts, so it will probably come down to your choice in terms of brand and physical aspect…for example the LCD display on the Alcatel is larger

how does the ot 918 perfoms in terms of multitusking

    • mehboobah
      September 20, 2012 at 12:30 pm

It performs pretty well, though having many processes running at the same time usually makes the phone relatively slower.

hi,i recommend the ascend 100y which is of the same price, its fast,no freezing at all as compared to the OT 918 which has a slower cpu.Its major hit over ascend 100y is its camera,of which the 100y’s is nt too much to complain…the stock rom of ascend100y is great, no need of rooting and installing a new rom as compared to the OT 918’s

  27. November 10, 2012 at 10:19 am

I just bought mine Yesterday @ kshs 4,999.00 as I used my 2000 Bonga Points from Westgate Mall, I asked for the pink color one and they gave me a box that had the extra black case as well, They then gave me kshs 500 Bob Credit to use, and 200 MB for data. A great deal I guess (Total I Paid for the OT 918 is Kshs 4500/- for a 3g, 3 megapixel Smart Phone, I think its a steal….)
