BlackBerry 9790 and 9320 now available at Safaricom shops

Safaricom shops are now selling new BlackBerry phones, in particular the Bold 9790 and the Curve 9320.

The Curve 9320 is new (luanched May 2012) and is retailing at Kshs 21,999/-.

The Curve 9320 packs a 2.44 non-touch QVGA display, a four-row QWERTY keyboard, a 3 megapixel snapper with LED flash (in contrast to the 2MP in the Curve 9220), 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM, FM radio and microSD card slot.

The new Curve 9320 offers better connectivity options, you get GPS with A-GPS and 3G with HSPA support in addition to the quad-band GSM and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The phone runs the latest BlackBerry OS 7.1, comes preloaded with some social clients such as Twitter for BlackBerry and facebook. It also has a dedicated BBm hardware key.

Also in store at Safaricom shops country wide is the Bold 9790, which is retailing at Kshs 39,999/-.

The QWERTY-packing Bold 9790 comes with a 2.45″ touchscreen display, a 1GHz Marvel Tavor MG1 processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5 megapixel camera with VGA video capturing and a microSD card slot. The Bold 9790 is well geared connectivity-wise too – Wi-Fi, 3G with HSPA, GPS and even NFC.

The compact new Bold comes with a full four-row portrait QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad. The phone runs on the RIM’s latest BlackBerry OS 7.
